VocalEye is Canada’s first dedicated descriptive arts service. Since 2009, we've been providing live audio description for theatre performances, visual arts, and cultural events for people who are blind and low vision. Beyond live description, we host social gatherings, online accessible arts events, community workshops, professional development forums, and sighted guide training — all designed to prioritize and enhance the experience of blind and low vision participants. All our community programs are offered free of charge, and we rely on grants, donations, and fundraising events like this one to keep them running.
